Susie Graham: 35 years at CMH

Nursing caregiver celebrates milestone

Susie GrahamSusie Graham has been a nurse for 35 years, having spent her entire career at CMH. She has her mother to thank for inspiring her to become a nurse. Her mom was a caring and strong nurse who Susie hopes to emulate in her own work. She has worked in Med/Surg, OB, Same Day Surgery and Oncology/Infusion. She says the Oncology Department has been the most challenging place she’s worked, but also the most rewarding.

Susie believes it is important to lead by example and collaborate with management to accomplish what needs to be done. She strives to help keep up the morale in her department to give good care to patients. When the Spirit of Caring Award was given out the first time, Susie was the recipient. She is most proud of the care she provides to patients and says it has been an honor to do that for her friends, neighbors and fellow community members.

Susie is a native Astorian married to her husband, Pat. They have one adult son, Jacob, who is a forester in Washington.
