Study Examines Heart Disease Differences Among the Sexes

ASTORIA, Ore. – Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death for women. But much of our knowledge about heart disease comes from research done with men.

Join Dr. Diana Rinkevich and the CMH/OHSU Cardiology Clinic in their efforts to better understand how heart disease and gender relate. The clinic is recruiting adult men and women to participate in a study on Friday, Feb. 24.

Participants will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and complete a few medical tests, such as blood pressure, blood tests, and body measurements.

With just an hour or two of your time, you can help improve our understanding of how this deadly disease behaves differently in men and women. Please call 503-338-4087 to learn more.

Masks continue to be required at CMH for patients, caregivers, and visitors.Learn More
