People volunteer their time and talents because they want to make a difference in the world around them. We are fortunate at CMH to have a team of volunteers who are passionate about creating an excellent patient experience. This team assembles as our Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC).
This year brought with it some changes to the structure of PFAC, including new leadership, a new charter and a new direction. This new direction strategically puts the council in a position to make a difference to the patient experience here at CMH.
The new PFAC threefold mission outlines for us what PFAC projects and meetings should look like. All elements of the council will fall under one of three categories: Share, Collaborate and Work.
In addition to these elements, the council has made sure that all projects and meeting items help meet one of the organization’s strategic elements and goals.
Here are the projects PFAC is working on now:
Columbia Memorial Hospital’s Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a very important group of people. These committed community members share their perspectives and speak for patients in discussions about how the hospital and Medical Group can best meet patients’ needs. Join us on the Patient Family Advisory Council.
