ASTORIA, Ore. – Hope is on the move for improved cancer treatment in Astoria.
The CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaboration’s new linear particle accelerator (LINAC) machine started its round-the-world journey on March 10. It will travel from England; through the Panama Canal; to Long Beach, Calif.; and then up to Astoria. The LINAC is the machine that will allow our radiation oncologist to deliver targeted radiation therapy to cancer cells.
See how it works in this video from the manufacturer.
