Dr. Robert McLafferty is a board-certified vascular surgeon and professor of surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery in the OHSU School of Medicine. He is also the medical director of the OHSU Wound and Hyperbaric Center. He began working at CMH two days a week at the end of August 2020.
Dr. McLafferty earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont. He completed a residency in general surgery and fellowships in vascular surgery research and vascular surgery at OHSU. He also holds an MBA degree from Portland State University and OHSU.
Previously, Dr. McLafferty served as chief of surgery for the Portland VA Medical Center. He is a past president of the American Venous Forum, the Vascular Disease Foundation and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery.
