Board-certified physician assistant Emma Williams, PA-C, joined our Emergency Department in March 2021.
Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in international agricultural development from the University of California, Davis, and her master’s degrees in physician assistant studies and public health from Touro University in Vallejo, California.
Prior to joining CMH, Emma worked as a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery, trauma, general surgery and critical care. Before PA school, her interest in emergency medicine piqued when she was a river trip guide in Hood River, Oregon, a wilderness first aid instructor, an emergency room scribe and an ophthalmic assistant. She likes the fast pace and dynamic nature of trauma and is thrilled to be getting back into emergency medicine at CMH, since this is where she feels her heart lies in medicine.
Emma loves the coast, particularly when it is stormy, and she enjoys practicing in a smaller community. When she isn’t working, she likes spending time outdoors backcountry skiing, mountain biking, running and hiking. She also likes cooking and traveling. She has always been drawn to international medicine and hopes to do some medical volunteer work abroad in the future.
