Emily Olson, CNM, joined the CMH Women's Center in September 2020.
Emily earned her master’s of science in nurse midwifery from OHSU, where she also earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. In addition she holds a BS in natural resources and a BA in international studies, both from Oregon State University, as well as a master’s of education (interdisciplinary with K-12 Spanish certificate) from Montana State University.
Areas of special medical interest include labor and birth, transition to parenthood, lactation, gestational diabetes and contraception management.
Prior to becoming a certified nurse midwife, Emily worked in education, youth development and conservation in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. She speaks Spanish, having studied and worked in Latin America for nearly two years.
Emily describes herself as an avid outdoorswoman with an exceptional spirit of adventure. She enjoys exploring the outdoors with her son, husband, family and friends and likes to camp, backpack, travel, ski and mountain bike.
