My child is afraid to have their blood drawn. Will it hurt?

Our phlebotomists (people whose job it is to draw blood) are very caring and tender. They do their best to reassure young patients, while also being honest about what they can expect to feel. As a parent or guardian, one of the most helpful things you can do is remain calm, confident and relaxed. If you appear stressed, your child will pick up on your feelings and feel more anxious too.
