The death of a baby through pregnancy loss, still birth or within the first few months of life is tragic, and the grief impacts parents, grandparents, siblings and other loved ones of the family. Most people have no idea what to say to offer comfort, and those grieving often feel very alone in their experience.
Columbia Memorial Hospital hosts the first Oregon chapter of Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, Inc., which is a nationwide organization seeking to serve those whose lives are touched by this type of loss. We are offering a free monthly support group that is open to anyone who has had this experience. The group meets in-person, with each group member screened for COVID-19 symptoms at the hospital entrance and social distancing/masking required for everyone's safety.
When: The second Tuesday of every month, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Conference Room A, CMH, 2111 Exchange St., Astoria
