Dr. Young attended medical school and completed his emergency medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Portland. While at OHSU, Dr. Young participated in a variety of committees and as an advisor to his peers and fellow medical students.

Dr. Young enjoys being involved in the community and previously volunteered as a food program assistant for Outside In, preparing meals for houseless and marginalized youth, and as a tattoo removal assistant for Project Erase at Outside In, supporting providers by preparing patient rooms.

Dr. Young considers himself to be a communicative team player, aiming to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to his patients. He is passionate about education, and his professional interests include addiction medicine and supporting at-risk patient populations.

“The opportunity to work independently as a physician and develop my clinical practice in a setting where I am challenged to grow on a daily basis excites me,” he says. “I look to serve the local community through the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care with the goal to improve outcomes and decrease the burden placed on the emergency medical system.”

When he isn’t working, Dr. Young likes roadtripping, playing recreational volleyball, participating in game nights and volunteering.

Welcome, Dr. Young!
