CMH surpasses Relay for Life fundraising goal

Relay for LifeOver the weekend, the CMH Relay for Life team raised more than $10,500 for the American Cancer Society at the Seaside celebration of Relay for Life. CMH was the biggest fundraiser of the event, which raised more than $50,000 total.

More than 40 CMH caregivers attended the event to show support, and many current and former patients walked the survivor lap. Vann Lovett, nutrition services manager, raised the most money on the CMH team, and Dr. Stephen Chandler, one of our oncologists, gave a very inspirational talk. Overall, team captain Chris Laman, director of Pharmacy and Cancer Care, said he thought the event was a success. He hopes to increase turnout next year.

Masks continue to be required at CMH for patients, caregivers, and visitors.Learn More
