For the eighth year in a row, CMH has again been recognized for demonstrating excellence in health care IT.
Each year, CMH participates in HealthCare’s Most Wired program survey. HealthCare’s Most Wired program recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in IT implementation and innovation and serves as a benchmarking tool to help participants plan and develop future IT projects.
Since 1999, the Most Wired survey has been assessing hospitals and health systems on their adoption, implementation and use of information technology.
The purpose of this program is to elevate the health and care we provide to our patients, as well as encourage the optimal use of information technology.
This year was the second that the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME) conducted the survey. A new system with certification levels was introduced to help ensure that technology adoption continues to improve patient outcomes and engagement. There were a total of 16,138 organizations that participated in the survey in 2019.
As a result of the survey, CMH was awarded Level 7 certification. You may ask, what does Level 7 mean? This level indicates that we are deploying technologies and strategies to help achieve more meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes. It also indicates that we are implementing more advanced technologies that expand access to care. Along with Level 7 certification, CMH was also designated as a Most Wired organization. There were only two hospitals in Oregon designated as Most Wired, and CMH was one of them.
Together, we continue to strive for excellence and drive change in the health care IT industry. Congratulations, and thank you to all of our IT caregivers who help us advance every day!
