Last week in San Diego, CMH was nationally recognized with a Most Wired award for the seventh year in a row. CMH was the only hospital in Oregon to receive this award and scored #1 in the nation in the Small and Rural Hospitals category and #6 overall. We were recognized for particularly excelling in three areas: cybersecurity, data analytics and medical device integration with the Electronic Health Record to improve patient outcomes.
It was a great honor to receive this award on behalf of CMH alongside giants such as UCLA, Henry Ford System and Cedars-Sinai. HealthCare’s Most Wired program recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in IT implementation and innovation, and it serves as a benchmarking tool to help participants plan and develop future IT projects. Since 1999, the Most Wired survey has been assessing hospitals and health systems on their adoption, implementation and use of information technology.
Earning a Most Wired title is more than an IT achievement; it is a mark of overall excellence. Last year, nearly 700 participants representing 2,158 hospitals took the survey, accounting for about 40 percent of all hospitals in the U.S.
