Supporting patients and caregivers on the path to healing

CMH Auxiliary

60+ Years of Service

For over 60 years, the Columbia Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has supported patients with kindness, compassion and goodwill. They have supported CMH through direct service and fundraising projects. Some of our Auxilians have been with us for over 30 years.

The Auxiliary provides resources for CMH patients. Through the CMH Auxiliary Gift Shop net proceeds and fundraisers throughout the year, the Auxiliary has furnished a blanket warmer cabinet and breast pumps for the Family Birthing Center, patient recliners and mobile blood pressure machines for the critical care and medical/surgical units, and even special infusion chairs for the cancer center. This state of the art equipment does so much to enhance the care and comfort of patients during their stay at CMH.

From 2008 to 2015, the Auxiliary purchased more than $100,000 in specialty equipment for the hospital. In 2015, the Auxiliary contributed $25,000 to the CMH Foundation’s cancer center campaign.

The Auxiliary also provides baby baskets, blanket warmers, specialty chairs, children’s activity bags, exercise equipment, “cough” pillows for surgery patients, and scholarships for Clatsop Community College nursing students.

Auxiliary Gift Shop

The primary source of funds is raised through the Auxiliary’s Gift Shop which carries a wide variety of items that serve the needs of patients, family members and visitors. From flowers for an ill friend to that first hug for a new baby, the Auxiliary is at your side.

The Auxiliary Gift Shop is located in Professional Office Building 2, which can be reached through the west lobby of the main hospital.
