Managing Your Medical Costs

Columbia Memorial Hospital has several payment options to help with your medical costs. These include:

  • prompt-pay discounts,
  • private-pay discounts,
  • payment plans, and
  • financial assistance programs.

Our financial counselors can help answer questions about billing or insurance. They can also help you apply for financial assistance. Call 503-338-7530 or 800-962-2407.

Extended Payment Plans

We offer extended payment plans to patients through our partner AccessOne. They offer no-interest and flexible, low-interest payment plans that are tailored to your health and financial situation. AccessOne is not a traditional credit card, nor are they a collection agency. Their program covers all patients regardless of balance or credit history—and they never report to credit bureaus. Their customized payment options offer many benefits:

  • No credit reporting
  • Everyone is accepted
  • No hidden fees
  • Easy payment methods: online, phone, check, auto pay
  • Combined statements that include other medical bills and family members

AccessOne works with you to determine the right monthly-installment plan for your situation. Learn more about extended payment plans from AccessOne.

Applying for Financial Assistance

If you need emergent or non-elective care and don’t have health insurance, CMH offers several options to help. Read our Financial Assistance Policy (Asistencia Financiera Para Pacientes).

You must complete a Financial Assistance Application (Solicitud de Asistencia Financiera) and proof of your income. The amount of assistance you receive depends on your total household income before tax, or gross family income:

  • Applicants with a gross family income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify for full financial assistance.
  • Applicants with a gross family income between 200% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level will receive discounts on a sliding scale.

After CMH receives your complete application, we will determine your gross family income. We will let you know what financial assistance you may receive within 30 days of receiving your complete application.

Call 503-338-7530 or 1-800-962-2407 and ask to speak to a financial counselor. They will evaluate your eligibility for various Local and State Programs, including Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid.
